Passion for quality
Dumoulin's mission is to offer products that combine the best food and environmental balance. At the end of the 90s, Dumoulin undertook research on feedingstuffs for cattle in collaboration with the Faculty of Bioengineers (AGRO Louvain) of the Catholic University of Louvain. With one objective: to develop a food that can have a positive impact on the health of animals, but also that of humans through products derived from animals.
Serving animal health
Based on this research, Dumoulin developed an extruded vegetable feed for livestock. These are steamed flax seeds and rapeseed packaged in granules. The cattle that consume them produce foods (meat, eggs, milk, etc.) that are naturally a source of or rich in omega-3s, with a better balance in fat, all year round.
Serving the environment
Extruded flaxseed has the virtue of reducing methane emissions in ruminants. Methane, like CO2, is a greenhouse gas. Studies in the diet of dairy cows and also of Belgian Blue White have shown reductions in this methane gas of up to 30%.
